Fresher's Day Celebration on 10th November, 2021
Every student eagerly awaits for "Freshers party" from their day of admission. It is the day when seniors and juniors meet and interact with each other. New comers come to know about the college, teachers, seniors and batch mates at single and friendly platform via Fresher party.

In BFC-II, Freshers party was organised by B.A 2nd year students for B.A 1st year students on 10th of November, 2021.

The party was started with a welcome speech given by the students of B.A 2nd year around 10:00 am. Later on, Respected Dr. Pardeep Kaura, Principal, Baba Farid College and Ms. Navninder kaur Dhillon, DAA, Humanities, respectively addressed to the new comers with a welcome note.

Mr. Bunty, HOD, Department of English and Geography and Dr. Jagminder kaur, HOD Department of Punjabi and Economics, had done welcome of dear fresher's. A various type of activities were arranged by senior students for fresher students include Cultural events, solo dance, group dance, singing etc. where everyone got chance to showcase their talent.

Refreshments and lunch were also served in between the party. Ms. Pushpinder Kaur, Assistant Professor in Punjabi and Mr. Mohit Garg, Assistant Professor in Music, were the judge of overall activities. Mr Fresher and Miss Fresher tags were accorded to Mr. Ashanpreet Singh and Miss. Pooja Bansal from B.A 1st year respectively. Mr Charming and Miss Charming tags were won by Mr. Gursimran Singh and Miss. Simranjeet kaur from B.A 1st year respectively.

International Happiness Day on March 19, 2021
Cultural Harmony Club, in collaboration with Faculty of Arts, Baba Farid College, Deon organised an event to observe International Happiness Day on March 19, 2021. The event took off after the inauguration ceremony by Principal, Dr. Pradeep Kaura. Students from UG & PG courses conducted the stage. During the event, many recreational games and competitions were held throughout. Contestants sang Cultural Songs, did Mimicry, Skits and performed on Cultural Dance items. Their renditions were evaluated by various judges.

Towards the end, jury members announced their judgment. Khushwinder Singh from MA English, Anshul from B.Com. and Vartika from B.B.A. secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in Cultural Dance. Further, Ramandeep Kaur from B.A.B.Ed. and Gurpreet Singh won 1st and 2nd position in Cultural Song competition. Nikhil, a student from BA I enacted a Solo play and mesmerized the audience through his heart-rendering act. Ms. Navninder Kaur Dhillon, Dean, FoA, Ms. Neetu Singh, Dean FoMC, Coordinator Cultural Harmony Club and HoDs of various departments gave away the prizes to the winners and bestowed them with their blessings. At last, Ms. Amrit Kaur, Coordinator, Cultural Harmony Club, BFC proposed her vote of thanks to all students and faculty members.

Educational tour to Jaisalmer and Jodhpur (27th February, 2020)
Department of Arts, Baba Farid College organized an Educational tour for all BA General students at Jaisalmer and Jodhpur from 27th February, 2020 (Evening) to 2nd March, 2020 (Morning) keeping in mind the need of extra co-curricular activities.

A group of total 93 students and 5 faculty members depart on Thursday evening from college with full excitement. The students had their hands full of enjoyment as they entered their first place of tour i.e. Jaisalmer (the Golden City  in Rajasthan) . It was the part of the famous Silk Route during the days of yore. Students visited  splendid Jaisalmer Fort stands proudly on its land and narrates the stories of the valor and chivalry of the Rajput rulers. Jaisalmer still retains its medieval charm, which is evident in its colorful narrow streets, splendid forts and palaces of Rajasthan, opulent havelis and bazaars. Students visited deserts of Jaisalmer and enjoyed Camel riding and Jeep Safari. In evening, students enjoyed bon-fire and Cultural programme and stayed overnight in camps. From there, Students also came to know about the livelihood of people living over there.

Next day, students reached to Jodhpur as it is also one of the  popular tourist destination, featuring many palaces, forts and temples, set in the stark landscape of the Thar Desert. It is popularly known as Blue city and Sun city among people of Rajasthan and all over India. Students visited various places such as Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum and enjoyed boating at Kaylana Lake. From these visitings , the beauty of forts amazed the students as well as the teachers. Students came to know about the history of these places and learnt new things which enhanced their knowledge. Students stayed over there and  enjoyed DJ night and Sangeet Mehfil. Then finally tour came back on 2nd March,2020 (Morning) around 7:00 am.

Farewell Party of department of Arts (UG)
The department of Arts (UG) has organized a farewell party for the students on 18-03-2016 in the Main seminar hall. The hall was nicely decorated. Farewell party was started with a welcome of B.A.III Students by their juniors. All the students were participating with great zeal in the party. There was a modeling round. Mr. Jagmeet Singh, Mr. Buta Singh and Ms. Pushpinder Kaur were the judges. Rupinder Singh from B.A. III was chosen as Mr. Farewell and Ramandeep Kaur from B.A. III was chosen as Miss Farewell. Our Respected Chairman Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal gave encouraging speech to all the students. In his speech, he guided the students for their career. All the students were quite happy. In this way, they had a lot of fun on this day. In brief, this party has been accomplished very nicely.

Freshers Party
The department of Arts organized a fresher's party for BA 1st year students on 07-oct-2015 in the main seminar hall. All the faculty members of B.A 1st semester and B.A 3rd semester were also present there and approx. 300 students were present. There were many cultural performances by the students. Sukhjinder Kaur and Gurpreet Singh of B.A 1st were selected Miss Fresher and Mr. Fresher respectively. This party was fully enjoyed by everyone.
