Two-Day National Conference on Recent Advancements in Computer Science
Baba Farid Group of Institutions, Bathinda has dedicated year 2011 to overall development of youth. To meet the target of making the Youth technically sound, BFGI has initiated a series of Seminars, Conferences and Workshops. Under this series, the first two days National Level conference was organized by Computer Department of Baba Farid College. The main motive of this conference was to make the faculty and students aware of latest developments and provide a common platform to share and enhance their knowledge level.

In this conference, Mr. Yogesh Kocher, Director Strategic Engagement, MICROSOFT CORPORATION INDIA graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The conference was presided over by Mr. C. Siban, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda. Mr. Jaiparkash S. Hasrajni, Director, Taleem India was the Guest of Honour. Dr. Vikram Singh, Associate Professor, Choudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa and Dr. Munish Jindal, Associate Professor, Punjab University Regional Centre, Muktsar were worthy key note Speaker of the occasion . More then 100 delegates from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajsathan, Delhi & Chandigarh reached in the conference to present their research papers. On this occasion a compact disk containing abstract of submitted research papers was released by the worthy Chief Guest.

S. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal Managing Director BFGI welcomed the  Chief Guest, other dignitary and delegates. He elaborated the acquired tools i.e Punctuality , Transpirancy & use of Technology to achieve the objective of Youth Development . He said that BFGI is establishing an Innovation Centre which will act as a research platform for students, accedmisions, Corporate Sectors, NGOs and Govt, Deptt.

The Chief Guest of the occasion Mr. Yogesh Kochhar encouraged the students by emphasizing that one can stretch time if one wants to get more. He said Microsoft Corporation will support to  BFGI in the shape of Valuable training, Software tools and technical  know-how. which will result into latest development and innovation by the students and academia for the benefit of society at large. He motivated students to read good and knowledgably books and literature.

Dr. Munish Jindal enlightened the audience of latest techniques and computing methods. Dr. Vikram Singh described the evolution and development of computer in detail. Mr. Jai Parkash S  Hasrajani stressed upon importance of zeal and enthusiasm to achieve a target. During the whole day various delegates presented their research papers on advances in Computer Sciences.

Dr. Pradeep Kaura Associate Director Baba Farid College delivered the vote of thanks. S. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal conveyed his gratitude to chief guest and other dignitaries for sparing their valuable time and making the conference a grand Success.
