Extenstion Lecture on "Emerging Trends in microbial Genetics" by Dr. Vandana Kukreja

The Department of biotechnology has organized Guest Lecture on “Emerging Trends in Microbial genetics” By Prof (Dr) Vandana Kukreja for B.sc biotechnology 1st and 2nd year on 09-04-13. It was organized in mini seminar hall, Block C. Lecture was started on 10.00 am .Dr Ritu Pawan, head of Department had gave introduction about the guest .Prof (Dr) Vandana Kukreja mam and her achievement .She has done M.sc biotechnology from Punjab University, Ph.d in Biotechnology PGIMER from Chandigarh. She has many years of experience in teaching. She shared wonderful experience and innovative method of teaching. She had delivered the information and discuss the various points regarding microbial genetics and application of recombinant DNA in our daily life e.g. vaccine, antibiotic, hybrid seed etc. Many of the students had asked questions, share their problems and Dr. Vandana mam has clarified their doubts in simple language. It is a good steps for biotechnology students to understand the basic concept about microbial genetics and their application .After the lecture, students have fresh mind and they have got solution for their problems. Lecture was ended at 4.oo p.m. everyone left the hall with positive attitude towards life.
