Plays Represent Social Evils: Sandeep Rishi, IAS

On the 2nd day of the “Zonal Youth Festival 2011” at Baba Farid College, Deon various items like :Plays, Mimicry, Debate, Poems, Classical instrument, Speech, Western Vocal solo, Western group songs, Cartooning, Collage and Poster Competitions were performed in the morning session, Mr.Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal welcomed the Chief Guest Dr.Pawan Singla,Controllar,Pbi. Uni. and presiding dignitary Dr.Baljit Singh Sidhu, Add.Controllar, Pbi.Uni.In the evening session Sh.Sandeep Rishi, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bathinda was the chief guest.Famous play writers Ajmer Aulakh, and Mrs.Manjit Aulakh also attended the festival.

In the Classical instrument precursion Govt.Rajindra College, Bathinda, Govt Barjindra College, Faridkot and Baba Farid College, Bathinda bagged 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position respectively. In the Classical instrument non-precursion Govt.Barjindra, Faridkot, Govt.Rajindra College, Bathinda, and Shahid Bhagat Singh College,Kotkapura got 1st ,2nd,and 3rd ranks respectively In  Western  Vocal Solo songs Govt  Rajindra College,Bathinda,Govt Barjindra College.Faridkot and Baba Farid College,Bathinda got 1st ,2nd and 3rd positions.In Westren Group Song Govt.Rajindra College, Bathinda, Govt.Barjindra, Faridkot and Baba Farid College,Bathinda  hold 1st ,2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

In Play, Govt Rajindra College, Bathinda, Govt.Barjindra, Faridkot, and Baba Farid College got 1st,2nd and 3rd position respectively.Govt.Barjindra, Faridkot, Baba Farid College,Bathinda, and Baba Farid College of Management and Technology stood 1st ,2nd and 3rd in Mimicry competition. In Play, Ramandeep Kaur from, Govt Rajindra College, Jaspreet Singh from, Govt.Barjindra, Faridkot announced Best Actress, Best Actor respectively.

In Collage Making Total 15 College participated, in which Guru Nanak Khalsa Girls College, Bathinda, Baba Farid College, Bathinda, Govt Rajindra College, Bathinda stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions correspondingly.

In Poster Compitition, Guru Nanak Khalsa Girls College, Bathinda, Baba Farid College, Bathinda, and Malwa College Goniana grabed 1st ,2nd and 3rd positions respectively.Govt Rajindra College, Bathinda, Govt Barjindra College, Faridkot and Guru Nanak Khalsa Girls College, Bathinda stood 1st ,2nd and  3rd position respectively in Cartooning .

“BFGI has been the pioneer institution in developing the youth from all aspects”, says Dr.Baljit Singh Sandhu Such Talents are brought out by these competitions added Dr.Baljit Singh Sidhu.The arrangement and discipline in the function were praised by Dr.Pawan Singla.Sh.Sandeep Rishi admired the talent of the students participated in one –act plays, especially for the play ’Basheeran’.These plays give the message about social evils and circumstances. There was a big crowd gathered for enjoying the Festival.

Famous Folk Singer Masha Ali made the evening more vibrant with his striking performance .Mrs.Paramjit Kaur Dhaliwal, Director Admin.,Mrs. Paramjit Kaur Gill, Director Finance, S.Jaspal Singh ,Deputy Director , and Dr. Pardeep Kaura,Associate Director  were also presented  on the festival. Mr.Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, While thanking the today’s guests ,said that transparency in results and judgments encourage the youth to bring out their talents .
