Tour to Chandigarh and Kasauli

On dated 1/10/2017 the students of B.Sc(NM/CS.) 3rd year planned tour to Chandigarh and Kasauli. There were thirty eight students along with five staff members. On the first day they went to Chhatbir Zoo. After that they travelled to Kasauli where they went to church and market. Then they come back to Chandigarh and stay at night. Next day they went to rock garden and Alante mall. After that they came back to college.

Educational Trip to Science City and Wonderland

A Trip was organized by Department of Science, BFC for students of B.Sc. NM/CS I & II on 23 September 2017 including faculty Mr. Naresh Kumar Bansal, Ms. Rajvir Kaur & Ms. Sarvdeep Kaur to Science City and Wonderland,Jalandhar.

Journey started from Bathinda at 6 a.m. in morning and reached Science City, Jalandhar. Students enjoyed LASER Theatre and FLIGHT Simulator etc in Science City. Pushpa Gujral Science City offers a blend of education, curiosity and fun to ensure longer and repeated visits. Next they visited Wonderland and enjoyed Bumper cars, Rambo trains, Wave pool, Wonder fall, Indoor aqua dance etc. Everyone brought so many enjoyable moments from this trip.

The students came to know about science through open-ended exploration away from text books and black boards, with a scientific approach to problem solving. All the faculty members had proper control and coordination with the students. All the students were extremely happy and enjoyed a lot.

Tour to Jodhpur and Udaipur

A tour to Jodhpur and Udaipur was organized by Department of Science, BFC for students of B.Sc(Non-Medical) 3rd year and M.Sc (Chemistry) from March 31, 2017 to April 4, 2017. About 77 students & 7 faculty members had enjoyed this tour.

Journey started from Bathinda at 2:30 p.m. in afternoon and reached Udaipur, the city of lakes in the morning. In Udaipur, they visited Udaipur City Palace (which gives a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding city), Sahelion ki bari (Built by Rana Sangram Singh as a garden for women, it has several attractions such as marble elephants, fountains, kiosks and a lotus pool). Students enjoyed Puppet show at Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum and speed boating at Fateh Sagar lake. Next day they visited Umaid Bhawan Palace and Mehrangarh fort at Jodhpur. Everyone brought so many enjoyable moments from this tour.

The students came to know about the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan and also enjoyed the traditional food and Kabila dance performance.

Tour to Shri Anandpur Sahib, Virsat-e-Khalsa & Naina Devi

ON dated April 1, 2016 The department of Science had organized a Recreational Trip to Shri Anandpur Sahib , Virsat-e-Khalsa& Naina Devi temple. There were total 93 students with 10 faculty members. Recreational Trip is an essential part to refresh the students from their routine study.The trip was organised for students of B.Sc-II(NM/CS) for three days from Ist to 3rd of April. In the morning they reached Shri Anandpur Sahib and in the evening group they reached Naina Devi. According to a legend, Goddess Sati burnt herself alive in Yagna, which distressed Lord Shiva. Vishnu unleash his Chakra that cut the Sati's body into 51 pieces. Shri Naina Devi Temple is the place where eyes of Sati fell down. Students came to know about the history of Sikhism in Virasat-E-Khalsa. All the faculty members had proper control and coordination with the students. All the students were extremely happy and enjoyed a lot.

Shimla and Kufri Tour

The Shimla trip of B.Sc.(NM&CS) students remained an exciting and memorable tour in the valley of mountains from 1st APR. to 4th APR.2016. Students of B.Sc. 3rd year enjoyed the beauty of Shimla and Kufri. It was three days tour organized by the students and staff, in which a total 45 Students and 4 faculty members travelled. On the first day of this tour we visited JAKHOO TEMPLE. JAKHOO TEMPLE is an ancient temple in Shimla. It is situated on Jakhoo Hill, 2.5km/1.3 miles east from the Ridge. After that we visited Mall Road. Further down the Mall Road is the Lakker Bazaar, which has few shops selling wooden handicrafts,s where students purchased gifts and memorable items for their family and friends. Next day we went to Kufri. Students enjoyed horse riding while climbing and returning the mountain. We were able to see the China boarder from the cliff of Kufri. After that we went to Adventures Resort, here the students enjoyed exciting rides . The student also enjoyed rides with racing bikes. It was not only an amusement trip rather the students also visited devotional places. I shall conclude that it was an enjoyable and educational trip . Moreover, this trip inculcated the ethics of helping others, collaboration, management and team work within the students.

The student and staff members of B.Sc. (NM&CS) are greatly thankful to Deputy Director Academics and Chairman BFGI for giving their kind permission for this tour.

Trip to Rajsthan

The Department of Science has organised a trip to Jodhpur and Jaisalmer for B.sc (nm & cs)-IIIrd year. It is a four day trip from 1/10/2015(evening) to 5/10/2015(morning).

First day ,Students reached at Jodhpur. Jodhpur is a city in the Thar Desert of the northwest Indian state of Rajasthan. Its 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort is a former palace that's now a museum, displaying weapons, paintings and elaborate royal palanquins (sedan chairs). Set on on a rocky outcrop, the fort overlooks the walled city, where many buildings are painted the city's iconic shade of blue.

First destination which was visited that is Umaid palace of jodhpur. This palace presently ruled by ruler named "Ghaj Singh". The speciality of this palace was that it was built without cement and water. It was build by interlocking stones. After this moved to old Quila of Jodhpur. This was the old residence palace of the kings of Jodhpur. But now it is empty and opened for the tourists.

On the next morning ,students move to the Jaiselmer. Jaisalmer, nicknamed "The Golden city", is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan, located 575 kilometres west of the state capital Jaipur. Once known as Jaisalmer state it is a World Heritage Site. There students enjoyed jeep riding camel riding. Students visited the Jaiselmer local city where they visit the sonar palace, lake and jain temple. 
On the next day students returned to Bathinda .Really ,It was great visit of Historic places.

Trip to Anandpur Sahib

Tours & trips are organized to minimize the burden of busy life . Tours & trips helps in refreshing all. To fulfill this motive Department of Science organized a tour to Anandpur Sahib and Naina Devi for students of B.Sc-II for three days from 3rd to 5th of April. Group of 44 students enjoyed this tour with 6 faculty members of Science Dept. Journey started from Bathinda at around 6:00 p.m and reached Anandpur Sahib at 4:00 a.m morning on 4th of April.First destination visited at Anandpur Sahib was Virasat-E-Khalsa. Students enjoyed D.J night from 9:00 p.m to 10:30 p.m in K Surpalz Motels. On 5th morning group reached Fatehgarh Sahib and then went to Sarhind.Dukhnivaran Gurudwara at Patiala was final destination on 5th April, from where they started their journey back to Bathinda and reached here around 5:30p.m . Overall the tour was very well arranged and organized by the Department of Science.

Trip to Jaipur

A natural & healthy tour to Jaipur and Agra was organized by Science Department of BFC for students of B.Sc-I and MSc Maths from April 1, 2015 to April 5,2015.About 60 students & 8 faculty members had enjoyed this tour.

Journey started from Bathinda at 7:00 p.m in evening and reached Jaipur at 8:00 a.m early morning.Jaipur,the capital of Rajasthan in India was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II ,a Kachwaha Rajput,who ruled Jaipur state from 1699-1744.When Prince of Wales visited Jaipur,the whole city was painted in pink color to welcome him and after that the Jaipur was titled 'Pink city'. On the first day students enjoyed movie at Raj Palace during afternoon and enjoyed shopping at market in evening.During night students visited "Chokhi Dhani".It provides a unique experience of Rajasthani culture.Next day places visited were City palace,Jantar Mantar,Hawa Mahal and Birla Mandir.Dj night was also arranged during night to entertain students from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m at hotel Royal Blue Grand.On the last day tour started for Agra in morning to enjoy wonder of our country,Taj Mahal.During evening jorney started for Fatehpur Sikri and then finally tour was on the way to Bathinda. Everyone brought so many sweet memories from this tour.
